After reading this thread i know better. It turns out that white is still the main color you can t wear to a wedding. A shorter more color saturated flower pattern with a colored suit jacket or cardigan might have worked out. I think a dress that is 75 other colors would be acceptable if white is not the predominant color.
As a bride i 100 percent would not have cared if a guest wore that dress to my wedding. All white dresses and all white suits are never okay to wear to a wedding unless you are specifically asked to do so by the bride and groom said carillo. I d probably wear it too and not notice the side eyes but i can be clue less like that and figure as long as it s not an all white dress it s okay. The don t wear white rule was established so guests wouldn t upstage the bride which in my opinion it s.
