Why Are The Veins On My Face So Visible
Camila Farah
Veins begin at the scalp and forehead travel down by the eyes ears and nose thence to the jawline and into the jugular vein.
Age is another important cause of visible veins. Because these veins are necessarily just beneath the skin any change in colour in the face is visible. Well spider veins form when the capillaries in the skin on your face become dilated. Here the veins showing through skin become more and more visible with age because of the thinning of fat layer.
Intense exposure to the sun. It s what you see when someone blushes or hears a terrible thing that drains all the colour from the face. This happens for two main reasons. Drinking and sometimes smoking.
Intense sun exposure especially sunburn will cause veins to appear and sometimes pop up over the skin. The fat layer is thickest in children and gets thin with aging. Spider veins are most frequently seen on the legs and face. But if you ve noticed veins showing through skin suddenly you may be understandably concerned.

After exercise your muscles retract and your veins become less visible. They may be red purple or blue in color. The effects of aging are more obvious in smokers which is why they have prominent veins as compared to the rest.
