White spots and white marks from toenail polish are due to the toenail getting dehydrated. It is a fairly common finding on nails of any person and they appear as milky white spots. A white or pale fingernail may indicate the presence of malnutrition or anemia. These spots can be seen on nails of women once nail polish is removed.
Allergy if you are allergic to any products you use on your feet or toenails this can also cause white spots on toenails. Two it could be that you don t moisturize your nails always especially after removing polish. In the early stages of fungal infection one or more nails may go white before softening. This can cause the toenail to dry out and curl.
This is not all that dangerous but it can look like fungus. The allergic reaction could be triggered by nail polish remover nail polish or nail hardener. With true leukonychia the white areas remain unaffected when pressure is put on them. Improper or rough gel or acrylic removal is another common cause of bruising.

The use of acrylic or gel nails can also badly damage your nails and may cause these white. One could be that you re overusing nail polishes which you obviously need to reduce. The nails will be lost if the infection is allowed to persist exposing the delicate nail bed. Either you have not been drinking enough water or you are drying out your nail bed by wearing polish too long or not moisturizing your nails after removing old polish.
Treatment for white spots on toenails. Presence of white spots or lines on toenails is called leukonychia. If the fingernails are white soft and crumbly it is a sign of fungal infection. White spots on toenails are relatively harmless and not associated with any serious medical condition.
