Based on the title alone the movie seems to acknowledge that the relationship between harley quinn and joker was abusive and harley finally breaks away. Well if you are talking about the tv show birds of prey i didn t watch but i assume that you are talking about the movie let s see look the only reason they broke up in that movie is to make a movie concept however they aren t in true love or something joker treats harley quinn like penguin treats people joker just wants harley when he is bored and have some fun if i were in joker s place i would bang harley every day and make every thing she said d. It s simple she left because joker would ve done something insane such as killing her.
Later in the series she admits it herself that she has broken up with the joker and the reason for this was the abusive behaviour of joker as harley mentions.
