Time and time again i hear people say i look so fat in photos.
You need to try different positions so that you can find which one makes you look the most slim. Please don t be like well you re picture is pretty so you re lying it s one of the few remember. They make me look huge weird and just overall ugly. This is why photographers usually have a portrait lens an 85 mm equivalent for a full frame camera or about one third the angular field of a typical smartphone.
I know there is nothing i can do even my friends agreed that i don t look how i look in pictures btw but why is this. A short focal length combined with a flat sensor will result in unavoidable field distortion that makes people look overweight. Most of the time people look thinner if they stand angled and put more weight on the back leg if that makes sense. Pictures really make me look like a different person.

Telephoto lenses are usually seen as more flattering giving the impression that the subject is flattened and slightly compressing the width of your foremost features like your nose or breasts. So just try a bunch of different things until you get it right.
